Happy Birthday IPK!

In  May 2013 we received the first ETA (European technical approval) for our own “IPK” fire-resistant profile and are now celebrating its eighth birthday!

What exactly is the “IPK”? Here is a little information for you in brief:

• the IPK is our own profile for fire-resistant fixed glazing
• the main component is glass fibre reinforced plastic
• it covers all fire protection categories from EI 30 to EI 120
• it is very light and has very narrow visible widths
• due to its elegance, it is very popular among architects and developers
• heights up to 3.6 metres are attainable, width unlimited

METEK keeps on it! Which is why we are always carrying out new tests for additional areas of application.
